The app provides a straightforward onboarding flow for the BuddyTalk voice-enabled speakerphone. It guides users through connecting the device to Wi‑Fi and bringing it online, then registering it with an Amazon Alexa account and adding it to a personal group of Alexa-enabled devices.

For users who also have the Amazon Alexa Shopping Cart app installed, registration is notably streamlined, as the app can reach out to Amazon and activate the device with a single tap.

In terms of audio and voice performance, the BT100 and BT110 deliver solid quality for calls made through Alexa. The BT100 supports calling other Alexa devices and offers free outbound calls to destinations in North America and the UK. The BT110 supports making and receiving regular VoIP calls within the provider's VoIP subscription region (a VoIP account is required).

Device management and security are straightforward: the app allows you to de-register a device, log out, or disable Wi‑Fi. Security-wise, deactivation and network changes are restricted to devices registered to the user's mobile device, helping prevent unauthorized access.
